Coto de Caza is one of Orange County’s oldest planned communities. Coto de Caza means “Preserve of the Hunt”, or “Hunting Preserve” in Spanish. Coto de Caza is the only guard gated community in Orange County to contain two entire Golf Courses, two country clubs and an Equestrian Center.
In 1983, Orange County approved Coto’s master plan for a community of approximately 5,000 homes, and three years later, the community officially opened. In 1984, Arvida, Disney, Chevron, and City Federal Savings & Loan partnered in the development of Coto de Caza...
